Ann Pilkington is a founding director of PR Academy.

Her early career was in journalism, moving into PR with major blue-chip companies including the AA, BT, The Woolwich bank and Barclays.

As an independent communications consultant, she specialises in leading communications on major change programmes within the public sector. She has a particula interest in communicating projects and is presently writing a book on the topic to be published by Gower.

She holds a Masters in Public Relations from the University of Stirling, City and Guilds Further Education Teacher’s Certificate and the Communications, Advertising and Marketing Diploma (CAM).

She is a full member of the CIPR and an associate member of the Association of Project Managers.
