CIPR Diploma

The CIPR Diploma in Public Relations is a Masters level qualification. It is a ten month course with 48 hours of tuition.

Lectures are on Saturday at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), part of the University of London just off Russell Square.

The Diploma is right for you if…

  • You are an experienced PR professional without an industry specific qualification
  • You are working in any field of Public Relations, for example media relations, internal communications, public affairs
  • You want to learn about the strategic roles and functions of the public relations practitioner

What it costs and what you get

Tuition fees are £1400 (plus VAT), payable to PR Academy. You will also need to pay an exam/awarding body fee to the CIPR (£950, no VAT) and they will invoice you for this separately. You will also need to become a member of the CIPR if you aren’t already.

Other things to know

Diploma graduates are eligible to become full members of the CIPR and a growing number of universities recognise the Diploma in respect of their Masters’ programmes.

The course takes place on Saturdays from 10am to 5pm at the Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square, London WC1H 0XG

The next course starts on 16 January 2010. Further sessions are on 6 February, 20 February, 20 March, 15 May, 5 June, 19 June, 3 July, 4 September.
