Kate Lomax
Kate has more than ten years experience working in Marketing, PR and Media. She delivers lectures for the CIPR Foundation Award and is a full member of the CIPR.
She currently works for Ernst & Young as a Media Relations Manager implementing proactive communications across a range of different sectors including renewable energy and utilities. Previously, she worked for TUI Travel plc which owns Thomson and First Choice holidays as a PR Manager. Her responsibilities here required her to develop a proactive PR strategy for the airline, Thomson Airways, and to ensure detailed robust crisis communications procedures were in place.
Kate previously worked for Ofcom as a Communications Manager and was responsible for developing the organisation’s external reputation. In particular, she acted as an official spokesperson for Ofcom on a wide range of high-profile issues from the Big Brother racism row to the TV phone-in scandal in 2007.
Kate holds a BA Hons in Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire and the CIPR Diploma. Her area of expertise is issues and crisis communications.
