Kate Lomax

Kate Lomax CIPR Dip MCIPR

Kate has more than eight years experience working in Marketing, Public Relations (PR) and Media. She delivers lectures for the CIPR Foundation Award and is a full member of the CIPR.

Today, she works for TUI Travel plc which owns Thomson and First Choice as PR Manager for the company’s airline. Her responsibilities at TUI Travel include the implementation of a proactive PR strategy for the airline and overseeing the company’s crisis communications procedures.

Kate previously worked for Ofcom as a Communications Manager and was responsible for developing Ofcom’s external reputation amongst its stakeholders. In particular, she acted as an official spokesperson for Ofcom on a wide range of high-profile issues from the Big Brother racism row to the TV phone-in scandal in 2007.

Kate holds a BA Hons in Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire and the CIPR Diploma. Her area of expertise is issues and crisis communications.
