Is it getting harder to find time for study?
It seems to me that communicators are facing pressure in two ways – reduced resources, but more demand. As many organisations have been forced to cut back, the demand for effective communication is growing because organisations need our help to adapt to a different economic climate.
Is this happening to you? Is cutting back on communication resource in times of change the right decision?
We have certainly noticed that many of our students face tremendous demands on their time. Its one of the reasons that we have announced a new way of studying for the CIPR Diploma in PR – its now available one unit at a time. It means you can spread the study – and of course the cost – over up to two years. Find out more here on the website.

As someone who certainly does find it hard to find the time for studying, I think the option of completing a course in bite-sized chunks is a good one.
However, even if the course was stretched out, I’m still not convinced I’d find the time! Although the option of doing (for example) the project over a longer period of time does sound very tempting.
I also like the sound of spreading the cost.
A very good solution, Ann.

thanks Nicola, glad you think so. It just struck us that many PR practitioners are having to do more with less these days and it would be a shame if getting a qualification had to take a back seat as a result
